Leeds quintet Fizzy Blood announced they will be releasing their third EP, entitled ‘Pink Magic’, on September 14.
To celebrate the announcement, the band unveil new single ‘Stranger’ following its premiere on BBC Radio 1.
‘Strangers’ follows previous title tracked single Pink Magic and showcases a darker and sultrier side to their sound.
Guitarist, Paul Howles said: “Strangers is part of a transition into a new era as a band. We’ve talked a lot about how we shouldn’t let genre define us and this song is the statement of intent. We hope you’ve come by now to expect the unexpected from us.
“We put our heads together with producer Alex Newport and what we got was this lil number, which we’re very excited to share. We hope that you can take this for what it is, a sign of things to come, a genre-less future where artists and their fans appreciate music for what it is, and that’s just music man”
Recorded in Brighton with producer Alex Newport (Bloc Party, Tigercub, The Mars Volta), the Pink Magic EP captures Fizzy Blood’s as a multifaceted and self-assured force, a testament to their rapid growth in the UK DIY scene.
Fizzy Blood have two headline shows in September at Brudenell Games Room in Leeds (Sept 19) and a London show at Boston Music Room (Sept 21).
