EP Review: High Tyde – Real

High Tyde

After a quick break, rising stars High Tyde are back with their latest EP ‘Real’. We’ve already heard the majority of the EP in their previously released singles Gold, Speak and One Bullet.

Released today, as part their EP tour, fans now get the chance to purchase their most desired EP yet.

‘Real’ stays true to the band’s roots, soaked in indie-rock goodness with a consistent thumping beat coupled with screeching guitar riffs and powerful vocals. Speak is an intriguing amalgamation of High Tyde’s previous styles and past work, yet it demonstrates how far the band has come with and how much more they have to offer.

Despite being young individuals Louis, Spencer, Connor and Cody express maturity and talent well beyond their years and their grasp on songwriting and developing their own unique sound is remarkable.

‘Gold’ and ‘One Bullet’ include the same indie rock beat as ‘Dark Love’, which was their first single that veered towards their heavier side unlikes of classics ‘Feel It’ and ‘Do What You Want’.

Their final track ‘Piece Of Paper’ includes so many different elements and sounds throughout but the band have managed to avoid it becoming just a combination of noises with each component adding its own signature style.

Have a listen below and check out their tour dates.
