EP review: Get Inuit – Luge Lessons

Get Inuit

Get Inuit are four boys from Kent and have only been on the indie scene a couple of years making a very impressive start. Their debut EP ‘001’ explodes with fuzzy garage-pop with the shimmering guitars of 90’s indie rock from ‘I Am The Hot Air’.

Fast forward two years later, the garage-pop foursome are gearing up for the release of their four track EP ‘Luge Lessons’. The band have taken their DIY attitude towards the creation of the release to heart as their guitarist James recorded and produced the whole thing while their drummer Rob created the music videos and all of the artwork.

Get Inuit’s indie-rock that is to the slow-burning and head-nod inducing ‘Electrify’, to ‘Pro Procrastinator’ which is one contagious whirlwind of a song, (It reminds me a little bit like some of The Vaccines stuff from their new album), and the melodically lush record closer ‘On & On’.

‘Luge Lessons’ was released on October 16th through Alcopop! Records and from hearing ‘I Am The Hot Air’ below, it seems the quartet are set to deliver a collection of upbeat indie rock with grungy undertones and hint of infectious pop.
