Bedford’s finest are back, and aren’t they back with a bang?
‘Technology’ is another huge rock anthem from the Bedford four-piece, with hard, huge riffs and massive choruses. The single premiered on the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show.
Since their Top 10 album ‘Automatic’ propelled the band to mainstream consciousness in 2015. The song is taken from their upcoming third album which is set for release later on this year. It seems that they have ditched the heavier aspects for a new sound that feeds 80s rock-pop elements throughout.
The new sound bonds them even closer together, with a more serious sound, and we can’t wait to see what is in store for them next.
A video for the track is released which is equally entertaining. Speaking about the song, frontman Rob Damiani says, “We’re all addicted to our phones, so for the video, we thought it would be fun to see if an alien invasion was enough for us to put the phones down for a minute… turns out it’s not. The song is about a casual swipe through Instagram that ended up in me unfollowing a load of mates. In reality, my friends are not vain, self-obsessed, PDA-loving show-offs so I’m blaming social media and the habitual nature of sharing every waking moment of your life online.”
From this track, fans will be able to immerse themselves in the ‘Technology’ experience with the interactive release of Technology – The Video Game through the band’s site and the IOS and Android app stores. You can play as all of the band members trying to escape an alien invasion. (Fun, huh?).
All in all, Don Broco are still a band to watch, and they will continue to surprise.
