Introducing Australian indie-rock band Residual, who are a four-piece packed full of enthralling vocals and strong instrumentals which finds them producing huge tracks.
Their most popular song is the emotionally charged ‘All For You’, from their sophomore EP ‘Haunt’ (released in 2016). It recently reached 250,000 streams on Spotify and is a sure sign of the bands potential. Vocalist Sam Burtt packs raw passion into every lyric, whilst the backing of Andy Rankin (guitar), Josh Carter (bass) and Nick Cousins (drums) creates an impressive track full of immensely infectious hooks and distinct guitar lines.
After their formation back in 2013, the band have managed to rack up two top 10’s and local media attention. Their ‘Haunt’ EP reached number three in iTunes Australia’s Indie Chart and they have been named first in the 5Why’s 5 of the Best Local Live Acts of 2016.
The bands sound is refined which is likely why they have managed to secure local sell-out shows in the past, and with hints of a new single coming at any time, these boys are certainly worth watching out for.
