A band that needs to put under your radar is Polar States; an indie quartet hailing from the music capital, Liverpool, the band has exploded across the UK.
Championed by BBC Radio 1’s Hew Stephens and BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, Polar States new track ‘Gold’ is taken from their upcoming EP ‘Electric’, embodies huge melodies, sparkling guitar riffs and smart, carefully curated lyrics creating a special indie anthem.
Tong spoke about the track; “The ‘million in my heart line’ was basically a way of saying you should see wealth not in terms of money, but in terms of the people around you whom matter”.
Polar States are Paul Tong – Vocals/Guitar, Josh Humphries – Guitar/Vocal, Phill Gornall – Bass and Dan Smith – Drums.
Selling out the Liverpool o2 Academy twice and completing a 10 date UK tour, the band has also appeared at Liverpool Sound City, Tramlines and X&Y Festival in addition to supporting Clean Cut Kid, The Japanese House, We Were Promised Jetpacks and more.
