The New Coast are East London based duo Nick Blyth and Chris Cheater who effortlessly create infectious and euphoric indie pop gems. The second single from The New Coast, ‘Slow Down’ oozes Americana vibes and smoky undertones and encapsulates late summer nights with ease.
Slow Down encompases a number of different sounds and influences including The 1975’s brand of ambient post-pop. The three minute forty-five second track offering is less alt-pop and more dream-pop, with some big ambient sounds, huge vocal hooks and all washed over with some great production. ‘Slow Down’ was produced by David Goodes, who’s previous work include KYKO’s much coveted ‘Animals’ EP and smash single ‘Native’.
