Discover: Get Inuit – My Oh My

Get Inuit

, The South Eastern indie four-piece are going from strength to strength at the moment, with 2015 seeing the release of both Luge Lessons and 001 (both being received incredibly well) alongside being hailed as one of XFM’s One To Watch and achieving radio plays from Radio 1 –  their 2016 was almost predetermined to be a success.

Get Inuit’s sunshine inspired indie pop/rock has already established a firm following and with a handful of shows already announced for the early part of the year, alongside a debut full album, it is undeniable Get Inuit are destined for bigger and better things throughout the year.

The first release of 2016 is ‘My Oh My’ and plays on the energetic rhythms and memorable chorus chants Get Inuit have become synonymous with. It takes the pre-established formula of mixing Indie rhythms with the surf and punk influences and spins it on its head, producing a unique sound that still has the clever and well-executed lyrics Get Inuit are known for. It encapsulates the sing-a-long nature of the band with the memorable chorus being perfect for gigs and festivals, whilst the accompanying gritty guitars indicate the raw energy the band are capable of.

My Oh My is perfectly constructed with the right balance of thrashing guitars and beguiling vocal hooks resulting in an intriguing song, one that could easily be Get Inuit’s biggest hit to date.
