The Los Angeles indie five-piece only came across our radar a couple of weeks ago. I came across one of their tracks ‘Dogs;’ which comes from their debut EP ‘Misty Shrub’ which was released 22nd January. ‘Dogs’ was premiered by Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1.
‘Dogs’ grabs you with its guitar flicks and drawing you in with the vocal harmonies of the Avett Brothers. The song builds, driving an unreal tempo-change, tossing in woodblock hits and a bass line as it moves from the beginning’s peaceful birdsong to a guitar bridge that is heading to the ocean and the sea.
