CloseUp Festival adds three big names and moves date to autumn

London’s CloseUp Festival has announced three new artists to its line up and has pushed it back till September.

The London-based live promotions company hosts its annual festival at Colours in Hoxton, London in mid-May but due to the Coronavirus, that has been moved to September 11-12th.

New to the bill include Sad Boys Club, The New Coast and SPQR in addition to Sophie and the Giants (Friday Headline), Diskopunk, Only Sun, VALERAS, Corella, PATAWAWA, and more to be announced.

With CloseUp’s new plans of planting a tree in Scotland for every festival ticket sold and their efforts to make a 50/50 gender lineup, this year will embody CloseUp in its entirety.

Tier 1 tickets have sold out, and Tier 2 tickets are available here.

Camens return with indie rock belter ‘Poltergeist’

Back when times were much simpler, indie rockers Camens were sneaking into festivals and performing pop-up gigs wherever they could. Now, two years later, they’re back with their latest single ‘Poltergeist’.  The Stoke-on-Trent outfit are leaving behind the button bright indie-pop of their formative years in favour of something altogether darker, more mature and certainly more frenetic. As a result, ‘Poltergeist’ is a razor-sharp indie rock number suggests the gap between releases hasn’t been spent in vain. Following up on 2020’s ‘Leave Me In Pieces, the band are shifting in a new direction with their own brand of idiosyncratic indie.
