CHILDCARE has announced the departure of drummer Gyln Daniels with an imminent court date on the horizon.
The South London quartet posted the announcement on Facebook at 3.30pm today, 2nd June stating Glyn did not align with the band’s recent wellness activities.
The news comes after the band released their long-awaited debut album ‘Wabi – Sabi’ on Friday (31st May).
The post read: “We today announce the departure of Glyn Daniels from CHILDCARE.
“Unfortunately we are unable to disclose many details about this situation, with legal proceedings on the horizon. Some of our recent wellness activities have not aligned with Glyn’s personal ethics and proven too radical for him to embody.
“Regardless of what may be said in court, Glyn has been our drummer and is our friend. He gave 280% for CHILDCARE, delivering to a very high standard. His gentle and shy personality providing a source of delicate comfort, amidst the raucous chaos. We would like to wish him well with his future ventures on this crazy place we like to call “Earth”.
“A new member of CHILDCARE will be presented in due course. There will be no further comment at this time.”
