Cardinal Moses is a summery haze of psychedelic indie pop

Florida-based artist Cardinal Moses is back with his first songs in three years.

In a summery haze of psychedelic indie pop, the soloist is soaking up the sunny beaches in Palm Beach. Known as Samual he writes and produces all his work in true DIY style in his bedroom.

New tracks ‘Hanging Around’ and ‘smoke break (not to smoke)’ just happen to fit together nicely during Samuel’s hiatus.

He commented: “I wasn’t even planning to write more music; I hadn’t put out any solo work for quite a while but this just sort of fell together by accident.

“I just don’t want to take myself too seriously. As long as I can make art I’m proud of, that’s good enough for me.”

‘smoke break’ is about new love and the feeling that you just can’t survive without seeing that person again right now.

What’s great about Cardinal Moses is that his music doesn’t require deep thinking or angst as it’s just easy listening.

Whilst taking in a wide range of influences from Jim Croce, Rage Against the Machine and Tame Impala, Cardinal Moses’s smooth summer jams will have you relaxing in no time.
