Callow Youth rising the ranks with ‘Red Leather’
Rising through the ranks, Callow Youth are at the forefront of the indie rock revolution and they’ve released their new single ‘Red Leather’.
The new single is a fiery brand of hooky indie rock/pop with some influences of Britpop to make a compelling rock song. ‘Red Leather’ showcases a harder and heavier side to the band’s indie-pop songwriting and welds this to clubby, baggy-influenced beats.
It’s the band’s third official single, and there is even rumours of a debut album on the cards for 2020. Comprised of Alfie Turner (Vocals, Guitar, Tom Hilton (Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals), Nathan Wrigley (Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals) and Connor Wilkinson (Drums, Backing Vocals) the Manchester quartet are an exciting, and young bunch of lads ready to make their mark.
Alfie Turner said on the new song: “Red Leather was inspired by a pair of red leather pants a girlfriend bought, which I thought were cool as sh**, and a road trip that happened around that same time.”
The band have announced some dates to put in your diary — they’ll be playing the Shiiine On Weekender in November, and a Manchester headline show at The Star & Garter on Friday 29th November.
