Composure? What’s composure in a situation like this? We at ICM have had several sources now give us the same information on the release date of Arctic Monkeys’ sixth LP. Now that’s some worthy news to kick off with.
The quartet have announced a huge array of festival appearances throughout 2018, with only one UK fetsival announced at Glasgow’s TRNSMT Festival – the recently released Reading and Leeds lineup also left fans disappointed that they were not going to play. However festival boss, Melvin Benn said: “they’ve got their own plans”, which could see AM in arenas sooner than we think.
We can now confirm that according to our sources Tom Rowley, their touring guitarist, has confirmed the album is launching at the end of May.
Not only that, but we’ve also been told that a record shop in Southampton has confirmed this.
Still seem a bit unsure? Our sources have told us that even the record label, Domino Records, have in fact confirmed this.
Do you believe it? Are you excited? Will Alex Turner shave that terrible beard? It’s all cards on the table now lads.
Fan William Hann bumped into frontman Alex Turner – revealing that he would “give nothing away” about UK dates, but said the new single would be coming “soon”.

Arctic Monkeys last released an album in 2013 with ‘AM’ the fifth instalment in their discography. It was a funky more sexy vibe to their sound, contrasting to their original loud brash sound filled with northern slang.
