Bloxx - Lie Out Loud

Bloxx edge closer to debut album with stunning music video for ‘Off My Mind’

Rising superstars Bloxx have shared new single ‘Off My Mind’ alongside a cool as hell music video.

It’s the latest track to come from the trio’s highly anticipated debut album Lie Out Loud, set for release August 28th via Chess Club Records.

The track was premiered on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show as Hottest Record (their second in a row), and follows the huge singles ‘Thinking About Yourself’ and ‘Lie Out Loud’, the latter recently sitting as Greg James’ ‘Track of the Week’ on Radio 1 too.

The record has been a long time coming for the Uxbridge quartet-piece and follows a glorious ascent since Bloxx exploded onto the scene three years ago with their definitive brand of confessional, relatable indie pop.

The album will feature the huge singles ‘Go Out With You’ and ‘Coming Up Short’ alongside a wealth of new material, seamlessly showcasing the band’s journey so far, which has seen them play huge shows, build an army of fans and amass over 20 million Spotify plays.

‘Off My Mind’ is another insight into the gloriously wide range of influences Bloxx are bringing to their debut full-length release, as massive pop melodies and fierce delivery from Fee Booth counteract confessional, intimate lyrical work.

The stunning video for the single was filmed abiding to all social distancing rules and offering fans the first showcase of the band’s aesthetic for the highly anticipated record.

Speaking about the single, frontwoman Fee Booth said: “I think ‘Off My Mind’ is the most intimate on the record and maybe that I’ve ever written.

“It’s definitely the most raw I’ve been in terms of descriptive content in lyricism. It’s quite purely a song about sex and love. Who doesn’t like that?”

Lie Out Loud will be released 28th August 2020 via Chess Club Records, the full tracklist is below and the record is available to pre-order here.
