Big Romance unleash a sonic melting pot of grunge, noise-pop and post-punk

Newcastle trio Big Romance are the new kids on the block creating a stir with their visceral grunge and post-punk.

Following up on the high-octane sophomore single ‘Sickner’, the North East-based band are currently sitting on cloud nine with a stream of Spotify editorial spots and some national radio play.

‘Dogfight’ opens with dark and mysterious sonic waves before all the band’s instruments and vocals simultaneously kick in a cold, chilling effect.

On the track, frontman Dan said: “‘Dogfight’ feels like a soundtrack to a panic attack. When we took it into the studio we ended up keeping some of the initial demo stems in the finished product because of the raw emotion they lent to the finished tune.

“‘Dogfight’ is a song for every time you’ve wanted to scream into a pillow and just let your frustration out.”

Taking to the likes of DIIV, Idles and Fontaines D.C., Big Romance are building up to something far greater. Armed with flurries of screeching guitars and ferocious drums, the trio are bursting through music scene with a haze of reverb laden soundscapes. Check out the new single ‘Dogfight’ below.
