Liverpool musician Ali Horn returns with another surf pop-rock gem ‘The Waves’.

Written looking over a slate, grey skyline from a high rise in Toxteth, as he searches for a glimpse over at Sunny California, Ali coats his music with 60s surf pop and a tinge of 70s rock.

In an attempt to take us back to a time when the only things that mattered were making sure you were there on the trip, in and out of a wetsuit sat next to the girl of your dreams. Ali Horn perfectly creates a cinematic-styled atmosphere putting the ‘surf’ into Merseyside.

Last year saw Ali Horn release his debut EP ‘It Wears Off’; featuring six songs exploding with hazy pop hooks, sunburst psychedelia and themes that stray between birth, death, love and paranoia, and his previous single ‘Modern Voodoo’ back in April of last year.

Ali has made appearances on Liz Kershaw’s BBC Radio 6 Music show twice, the following single ‘Dreamers’ was in June selected as one of 6 Music’s Tune of 2019 So Far and he appeared live in session for the likes of BBC Introducing and Janice Long on BBC Radio Wales.

With just the right amount of retro, Ali Horn is making ‘waves’ (so to speak) be sure to jump on the hype whilst you can!
