Aerial Salad return with dance-fuelled garage anthems

Mancunian indie rockers Aerial Salad have returned with new dance-fuelled garage anthem ‘John’.

Raring to go once again, Jamie Munro (Vocals, Guitar), Mike Wimbleton (Vocals, Guitar) and Matthew Mills (Drums) put a unique spin on the traditional punk in Manchester Britpop style.

Having already built a reputation for of the UK’s most exciting new bands, Aerial Salad’s new effort ‘John’ takes it up a gear through slick garage inspired bass lines, marching drum beats and gnarling, forthright pure punk lyricism.

It’s a fast-paced track from the get-go lifting you up and making you want to dance around the room in wild abandon.

Lead singer Jamie Munro said of the track: “‘John’ is about the cycle of work, pub, die. A song about people, including ourselves with grand plans for their life but chemical vices and a strict working routine inhibits.

“It’s a very self-critical song delivered as a light-hearted cross between cutting post punk and people just do nothing.”

“Let me know, what you want from the world and I’ll tell you all about it.”

Recorded at VIBE Studios Manchester and was produced by Dean Glover (Shotty Horroh, Twisted Wheel, The Blinders), ‘John’ followed up a year on from the Aerial Salad album Dirty Mall which featured hit singles ‘Lazy’, ‘Romance’ and ‘Stressed’.
