Wolf Alice release new single Don’t Delete The Kisses

Wolf Alice

Ahead of their release of their second album, we’ve been delightfully treated to a new single and the album artwork from modern indie legends Wolf Alice.

‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’ is the second single to be released from the sophomore album ‘Visions of a Life’, and is almost a hard cut contrast from the previous single ‘Yuk Foo’. Where ‘Yuk Foo‘ was aggressive, ferocious, and filled with the angst they are half known for, ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’ is the perfect representation of the band’s other side.

Rare use of the guitar and a heavy synth presence throughout is instantly noticeable along with lead Ellie Rowsell’s angelic voice floating over the top. On the premiere of the track on Beats1 Ellie described it as a track to “stick your head out the window to on a long car journey”. If that’s not enough to sell it, it’s reminiscent of their mid-album work from the debut album ‘My Love is Cool’ like ‘Silk’ and ‘Freazy’, as well as the demos for tracks like ‘Wednesday’. Ellie assured listeners that the whole album fits together despite the contrast between the two singles and that we’ll see that once the album is released.

Hopefully we’ll be blessed by more tracks from the album prior to its September release but for now ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses’ is satisfying our thirst for new Wolf Alice material.

‘Visions of a Life’ is released September 29th 2017
