“Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times when one only remembers to turn on the light” are Dumbledore’s words that illustrates Katy Alex’s new single ‘Light’.
Katy Alex is an up and coming Liverpool-based pop artist performing cheery ballads with an upbeat dance. This year alone she has played at two of the biggest local festivals in Murseyside; Liverpool Sound City and Liverpool International Music Festival which headliners included Laura Mvula, Labrinth and The Flaming Lip. As well as being a student, this is an incredible achievment already.
Since the beginning of her solo career in 2013, Katy has established herself within the local music scene and already has a fast-growing fanbase. She has recently won Merseyrail Sound Station competition and will perform live on BBC Introducing shortly.
