Tom Grennan shares tracks off his upcoming EP on tour

Tom Grennan

Tom Grennan. If this name doesn’t ring a bell for you, I urge you check out the line ups of some major festivals this year such as Y Not, Truck and Live at Leeds (just to mention a few). As well as this, Tom is currently embarking on an exuberant UK headline tour, boasting a plentiful amount of sold out dates, which allowed me the opportunity of seeing his exquisitely immaculate performance in a cosy and intimate little venue called the Joiners, in Southampton.

With life as his inspiration and a new EP being released on March 10th, ‘Release The Brakes’, Grennan has expressed his excitement about releasing new material, which he rightfully sees as a step-up. From writing songs in his bedroom to performing in front of huge crowds, the 23-year-old Bedford lad has, without a doubt, successfully mastered the key to capturing the undivided attention of his audience; a soulful voice enriched with a guttural rasp and a powerful belt is flaunted by his charismatic persona, his easy stage presence contributing to his likeable cockiness.

To emphasise the purely enchanting atmosphere occupying the room during Grennan’s set, he effortlessly managed to get the crowd chanting back lyrics to songs that made their debut on that stage on that very night, as well as others that aren’t to be released for another few weeks.

If you ever get the chance to see this guy, I strongly suggest you take it; you won’t want to miss the chance to see one of his performances.
