The Covasettes release bold debut single ‘This Feeling’

The Covasettes

‘This Feeling’ is the monumental debut from the upcoming Mancunian indie-rock band The Covasettes, a band whose name you’re going to get used to hearing a hell of a lot in the future.

The Covasettes consist of Chris Buxton (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Matt Hewlett (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Jamie
McIntyre (Bass/Vocals) and Matt Buckley (Drums/Percussion).

Formed in mid-2016, the quartet has spent the last year and a half perfecting their addictive, riff-laden sound with live shows across the North. Having left a lasting impression on promoters, venues and fans with their infectious live set, The Covasettes have undeniably earnt themselves a firm place amongst Manchester’s lively music scene.

There is a sense of genericism about the band, however, the track itself is a blissful burst of punchy guitar riffs, heavy drums, captivatingly catchy choruses, indie-rock intelligence and a ginormous handful of raw talent smacking you round the face. Commencing with unique guitar riffs and followed by emotionally energetic vocals from Buxton, ‘This Feeling’ is a sheer masterpiece of a debut from the offset and proves that these 4 Northern lads are going to be something special. The distinct vocals of this relationship based track give me no doubt that it’ll be an instant classic; one to be heard at every single future gig of theirs.

Commenting on the track, the band said: “We are delighted to finally announce our debut single, This Feeling. We’ve been working hard in the last year to perfect our live performance and set the foundations for capturing our sound in our first single. To us, it is the song that best represents what we’re about as a band”

It is inarguable that The Covasettes are destined for big things, they’re a proper hearty indie-rock band that provide promise for what’s to come in their career; you should certainly keep your eyes and ears on these lads!
