Song Of The Week: High Tyde – Dark Love

Brighton indie rock quartet High Tyde premiered their new single ‘Dark Love’ on Anne Mac’s Radio 1 show last night. After a very successful 2015 with the release of two EP albums, the band have increasingly gained popularity in their upbeat style of music.

The latest offering is the first from High Tyde’s third EP Safe. Though that’s not to say you’ll feel that with ‘Dark Love’, a rollicking burst of alt-pop rebellion.

‘Dark Love’ is a completely different from the likes of ‘Do What You Want’ and ‘Feeling The Vibes’, the track is heavier guitar sound and ferocious drum beats. Deliciously dirty, it flirts with glam indie pop. Lined with a subtle groove of rhythmic guitars and a dark sultry undertone, it’s ruthless in its riling and could hospitalise with killer hooks.
