Song Of The Week: Her – Queens

The band Her

Song Of The Week is French duo Her with their new single ‘Queens’ featuring ZéFIRE.

They first appeared on the indie scene with a fantastic debut track ‘Quite Like’ but almost a year on since their incredible debut EP ‘Her Tape #1’.

Unlike their previous tracks, Victor Solf and Simon Carpentier starts off with twelve seconds of just lyrics “she burns it down, she burns it down oh yeah she burns it down”. The band said; !It’s a song in honour of all the women in the world, we call them Queens and they deserve the title.”

With reminiscence of guitar riffs from ‘Five Minutes’ and bringing in the saxophone on this occasion has kept up the bands sleek and sexy image going.

ZéFIRE said about the track; “A huge thank you to Her for sharing their beliefs, their inspiration, and their passion with me.

“I never get tired of singing and writing about the woman and the infinite beacon of light they manifest. Queens is a song about you and I hope you resonate with it.”
