Song Of The Week: Carnival Club – Sin City

Carnival Club

Carnival Club released their second EP, ‘Nomad & Crooks’ this time last month and we’ve picked out our favourite of the bunch for ‘Song Of The Week’.

‘Sin City’ is the first track on the Manchester quartet’s EP and was produced and mixed by Joe Cross (The Courteeners, Hurts).

It’s a darkly coated explosion of sharp indie rock that slaps, smacks and swells all while seeping swagger from every note. Perky drums and groovy bass hops bounce around creating a dirty and grungy rock guitar riffs, the track gets you hooked from the start.

2017 ended with Carnival Club supporting The Courteeners’ Liam Fray on his sell-out tour, strengthening their already-strong Manchester fanbase – so you can see why they would want Joe Cross working on their EP.
