Sibling get stronger with ‘Knights’

Sibling

Californian duo Sibling have gone dark and dirty for their new single ‘Knights’.

Elodie Tomlinson and Bryan Osuszek have gone to heavy twirling synths and dark pop beats mixed over their classic soulful tones that gives them their unique sound.

Sibling express their feelings into ‘Knights’ like a king, glitch-ridden electronica and leaping percussion, animated synth pulses in the chorus suggesting there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

The fusion of subtle, underemphasised drumbeats, with an illusion of computer generated sounds and sweet-toned vocals give this track a smooth, slightly elusive feel. Deceivingly complex despite its limits, this is a state of alt-pop that it’s easy to escape into.

Tomlinson spoke about the track: “Sometimes people suck, things feel out of control and you just want to escape life for a night. That’s what this song’s about.

“I wrote the lyrics during what felt like one of the longest weeks ever when I just wanted to check out and have a good time.”
