Possible Oceans – Driving rhythms and pulsing synths

Possible Oceans

Indie-rock outfit Possible Oceans release their sophomore single ahead of their debut EP due August 17th.

Lead by singer/guitarist Trevor O’Neill and long-time songwriting partner singer/guitarist Daniel Berkman alongside Josh Nyback (bass), and Brian Henspeter (drums), the quartet joined forces with producer Aki Ehara of The Seshen to achieve a sound that is at once invigorating and unnerving for their EP titled ‘Phase Change’.

Driving rhythms and pulsing synths have created the perfect landscape for Trevor’s stirring vocals to glide over the interweaving guitar lines.

Drawing in influences from The National, Queens of the Stone Age and New Order, ‘Throw The Knife’ sees the group embracing their pop sensibilities while retaining their signature ever present brooding just under the surface.

The track also received radio play from KCRW as the group strives to create songs that sit just outside what you would expect from indie rock.
