OUTLYA – Ones To Watch 2019

OUTLYA

London trio OUTLYA create indie pop ballads. It’s really that simple.

Originally under the name Port Isla, the band have technically been playing together since 2011. But after one band member left, lead singer Will Bloomfield started a new chapter in his musical career by bringing along fellow band mates Henry Kilmister and Willem Olenski. Since that happened in 2017, they are gaining some serious traction from the critics, which has given the boys a big morale boost.

Flagship singles ‘Volcano’ and ‘White Light’, which was featured as our Song Of The Week last year, summaries exactly what the band is about. Anthemic choruses and catchy hooks make the band’s music perfect for radio-bound big hitters.

Having released their debut EP ‘Volcano’ in October 2017, to a rapturous response amassing over 1.5million Spotify streams and picking up radio support from BBC Introducing and Radio X, and an extensive headline UK tour in March last year.

The band said on Facebook: “We’re looking forward to spending as much of 2019 releasing new music and working with as many new people as possible. More information about how you can get involved in some upcoming projects coming soon…

“Here’s the first of hopefully a long line of collaborations coming in the new year – OUTLYA as drawn by Tíscar Espadas. See you in 2019!”

Expect bigger show, bigger tunes and bigger festivals as OUTLYA have their sights on making 2019 their best year yet.
