Hottest Gigs
Hottest Gigs Of The Week (17/07/18)

Whether you’ve recently graduated and are celebrating, or simply feel like you deserve to #TreatYoSelf. Here’s this weeks edition of ICM’s hottest gigs that you simply can’t afford to miss!

Black Waters

Tuesday 17th of July
Oporto, Leeds

Tonight, tonight, tonight!!
If you didn’t get the chance to see BlackWaters last week, then fear not as they’re back once more, and taking over Oporto in Leeds tonight!
If you get there early, be sure to check out the opening acts. We’ve gotten to work with the kickass Leeds lads, Sounds Like a Storm before, and having seen them already I must say they’re worth checking out.

Their whole lineup sounds fantastic, some truly fantastic young artists that deserve your attention. If you’re going… ICM will see you there!

Only Sun

Wednesday 18th of July
Sunflower Lounge, Birmingham

As one of the bands we’ve been lucky enough to work with before for one of ICM’s gigs, I’ve got to say that Only Sun are 100% a band you should check out if you get the chance.

Upbeat, adventurous with true danceability, what more could you ask for?

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds

Thursday 19th of July
Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh

Truthfully I’m surprised that there’s even tickets left for this gig, but if you happen to have a spare £60 odd quid lying about, then I’d suggest getting on this shit whilst you can.

Admittedly, there’s only seating left for this one, but for a gig like this I think it’s definitely still worth it.

Average Sex

Friday 20th of July
District, Liverpool

If you’re looking for something with a little more of an alternative punky edge, then Average Sex might just be the perfect choice for you.

For their band name alone, these guys are definitely worth seeing. Or if that’s not enough, they describe themselves as “Bad ass power-pop champs sucking on ice cream and the tears of their ex’s” come on, for those points they definitely deserve a second of your time.

Candid

Saturday 21st of July
The Sunflower Lounge, Birmingham

As a band I’ve only recently discovered in the last few days, Candid has quickly become another band I’ve become just a little obsessed with. As masters of build up, and offering lively tracks stacked one after another, these guys are sure to get you dancing if you come along to one of their shows.

Striking Matches

Monday 23rd of July
Gorilla, Manchester

Another band I’ve recently become infatuated with are the Nashville Tennessee based alternative rock duo, Striking Matches.

From what I’ve heard of their catalogue already, these guys truly can’t be faulted. From their thoughtful and concise songwriting style. In my eyes, these guys are perfection, and I’m more than certain that they’ll deliver an incredible show next Monday.

You’d be missing out not to take the opportunity to catch these guys in Manchester, and you’d be a fool to not at least give them a listen below.
