Gaman shares his life experiences in classic blues rock style

Gaman Mamidi

Well, “what do you think about that?” Indian musician Gaman Mamidi has released his debut EP about his day to day life experiences.

The singer-songwriter and guitarist from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, writes about what happens in his life with a certain comical element to it. So with the right chords, lyrics, scenarios and just the perfect amount of cuss words, he truly believes that this is possible.

And I guess I have to warn you – there’s a lot of swearing in this track. His indie rock music with a touch of Blues is pretty good. The riffs are infectious and although the lyrics are based on Gaman’s personal experiences, there’s going to be someone out there that feels the same.

Since learning to play the guitar at four-years-old, Gaman didn’t receive formal training until 20 at A.R. Ranman’s KM Conservatory in his hometown. Now the musician has travelled 8,200 miles to Boston, Massachusetts, to study for a professional music major at the prestigious Berklee College of Music.

“Well Wishers, which talks about the three worst people a person comes across in their lives (well at least according to me) the big fat bully, the friend who always lies and cheats you and finally the sh**ty ex.” – Gaman Mamidi

This EP was recorded at Zobo Studio under the production of Ameeth Thomas. His heavy insight and knowledge on songwriting, production and his longstanding career with his band Junkyard Groove. He made the recording process and production easy and brought a whole lot of “feel” on this EP.

‘Well Wishers’ is currently on our ICM Discoveries playlist. Check it out alongside other incredible artists we’ve come across.
