Across two stages you will have the chance to see some of the biggest and best indie/electronic artists at CloseUp Festival.
In the heart of Shoreditch at London’s iconic Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen on the 13th May, will be hosting 12 spectacular acts throughout the day.
With the first few bands already announced, we have given an insight of what to expect if you’re planning on coming to this great social festival.
Marsicans
Tipped as one of our Greatest Discoveries in our ICM Awards, Marsicans have gone on to dominate the indie pop scene with last month releasing their new single ‘Friends’. Packed to the brim with flavour and ripe, electrifying riffs, the gritty guitars paired with clean concise vocals, earthed with the precise pop of the bass. ‘Friends’ was also given praise by Coldplay to their 19.4 million followers

The Bulletproof Bomb
Now, the young energetic lads from Sutton blew us away when they performed at NME’s club nights at the KOKO last summer with their electrifying beats they are certainly ones not to disappoint.
The Bulletproof Bomb are just your typical bunch of indie lads; wearing vintage football shirts and Adidas tops fit their style of music down to a T – Probably how they wrote about their track ‘Sportswear Punk’ – driven by the keyboard, and off-beat jazz with a punk flare mixed with bouncy indie rock riffs.
Model Aeroplanes
The Dundee quartet consisting of, Ben Buist, Grant Irvine, Kieran Smith and Rory Fleming-Stewart released their ‘Something Like Heaven’ EP over a year ago and have since then been hiding away recording.
Influenced by the Beach Boys, their sun-drenched harmonies and shiny and pristine pop music will keep any enthusiastic crowd moving, and be singing in no time.
Glass Peaks
Smashing their way up the ranks, the Kent alt-poppers are playing CloseUp Festival this year after their debut UK tour finishes at the end of April.
The band’s latest single ‘Speak and Spell’ has moody guitar riffs, hard-hitting drums, gripping bass lines and all topped off with Lewis’ haunting vocals but also brings the band’s sound to a new level. Expect crazy crowds and head bopping beats. You’re in for a right treat when they play in May.
