Favourite Live Performance Nomination #6 – Fatherson

Fatherson

When it comes to music, live performances are arguably one the greatest ways to listen to music. Tours, Festivals, Busking, whatever the weather you can always guarantee that the music fans will pull through and support new emerging talent. Over the past 12 months we’ve been lucky enough to attend some of the summer-weekend festivals, the inner-city gems and even catch bands up and down the country at some of the best venues that the UK has to offer.

Glaswegian band, Fatherson played at Underground Festival earlier this year. The four-piece that brought the craziness of The Hunna into a collected harmonious set consisting of empowering vocals with the tranquility of well-timed music.

After following Fatherson for a long time it was brilliant to actually see them live in performance. Their second album Open Book was released this summer with tracks ‘Always’ and ‘Just Past the Point of Breaking’ are our personal favourite ones to watch live. The band’s enthusiasm was immense, their bassist, Mark Strain was constantly jumping about it was probably hard for the photographers to even try and get a clean shot.

The winner of each category will be announced on Friday 30th December.
