Favourite Live Performance 2016 Winner – Slaves

Favourite Live Performance - Slaves

Our award for Favourite Live Performance 2016 goes to Slaves for their incredible performance at the iconic Hertfordshire venue The Horn, St. Albans.

It was a night of biblical proportions. On paper, it made absolutely no sense what so ever. One of the biggest bands around playing a sold out 170 capacity venue.

That’s the stuff dreams are made from. Why do Slaves deserve this award? Was it the intimacy between the band and crowd? Was it the once in a lifetime opportunity to be a grab away from Issac and Laurie? Was it all of the media attention that the gig generated from the likes of NME, Vevo and other media channels?

Nope. It purely comes down to the music. Whether these guys are playing to a room full of 100 or a stadium filled with hundreds of thousands, they are performers. They put on a show and they love what they do. Not to mention, I couldn’t hear properly for a week.

Slaves. You deserve this.
