2017 Ones To Watch #31 – Estrons

With 2016 over, we look ahead to what musical talent 2017 can offer, and with the masses of acts out there in the industry there is plenty for us to get excited about. Throughout January, ICM will be highlighting one new band each day and showing just why they should be on your music radar. Our 31st band is Estrons.

Four piece power house Estrons hailing from little old Cardiff are an alternative rock band who seem to have friends in all the right places. Only recently coming off a ‘Back in the Van’ tour supporting Slaves, Estrons have already grabbed the attention of the UK media including support from BBC Radio 6 and Huw Stephens. Not to mention already grabbing headline and supporting slots at some very notable venues across the country.

Their chaotic combination of a maddening and a very loud alternative sound combined with elements of punk give off a strong early days White Stripes – All rolled together with big choruses and a gorgeous lead vocal from singer Tali. These guys are loud, proud and don’t plan on settling for 2nd place.

If you like the best kind of manufactured garage punk rock, these guys are for you. Having seen them live, they are testament to the amount of talent that 2017 has to offer. These guys are setting the bar very high. Watch their space.

Whats next from Estrons? Well we already have a wicked EP. An album would be very nice. They might have Royal Blood to contend with but I see no reason why these guys can’t go all the way.

We will be announcing a new band every day throughout the entirety of January and the ICM long list will be announced on February 1st.
