Liverpool pop quartet SPINN have shared their latest single ‘Home’ ahead of their single launch.

Jonathon Quinn – Vocals/ Rhythm Guitar, Andy Power – Lead Guitar/ Synthesizer, Sean McLachlan – Bass/ Backing Vocals and George Whitehead – Drums/ Backing Vocals recorded the track in Parr Street Studios with Tom Longworth (Cabbage, The Vryll Society), working on what is their first attempt at writing a true pop song.

Whilst the song is still reliant on the band’s already familiar, chorus-laden sound, there are some true pop sensibilities at play in, ‘Home’. Including some effervescent backing vocals, and singer, Jonathon Quinn, cementing the main hook, “Take me Home”.

Of the track, Quinn said: “This one’s probably our most shallow track. We went out to create a pop tune with not much meaning behind it, which is different to our other stuff, which usually has some kind of message or secret meaning. You could probably over analyse it if you really wanted to, and hail it as a homage to house party romances or a love letter. But, to be honest it’s just meant to be something that’s good for the ears.”

The track is due for release on the 3rd March, and it will be supported with a joint-headlining single launch with the band’s close friends, Echo Beach.
