Manchester duo Darcie return another charming and dreamy pop single ‘Darling’.

Multi-instrumentalist Tom Donaldson and singer-songwriter Zigi Porter make it their third single this year as they draw on a DIY feel to the likes of Rex Orange County and Steve Lacy, alongside the soulful influences of Jorja Smith and Tom Misch.

Following on from previous single ‘Litter‘, Darcie get down low and groovy with lo-fi soul pop as ‘Darling’ sounds pure and refined like a music veteran. Porter’s soft, yet powerful vocals are simply breathtaking.

Experimenting with technology whilst incorporating traditional instruments Darcie have a distinctive sound which is complemented by Monsieur Mingle’s unique illustrations.

We’re still waiting for that debut EP announcement but it is expected to be released before the end of this year.
