Cherry Slide is the musical project of Dale Humphries, an Englishman living in the ‘Big Apple’ New York City.
‘Red Alexander’ is the first single under the new project and is about to release his self-titled debut album in August containing nothing but pure indie-pop jams.
His vocals glide over the carefree drums and smooth, jangly-pop guitars. The track is packed full with instruments, yet the track comes across relaxing and chilled out.
Humphries explains the meaning of the track as “the feeling of living in a large city and feeling overwhelmed by the large buildings and history around you.”
The debut album will be released August 10 via Brooklyn-based label Being Records.
