From the sunny streets of Macclesfield, self-genred ‘Calypso Afro-Rock’ three-piece Cassia are preparing for their biggest year yet.
Infectious indie-pop oozed out of 2018 and that’s because of the constant stream of releases that we saw from the trio. With a four-track EP early on in the year, we saw Cassia’s catalogue enlisted as one and the realisation of what they’re capable of hit every single one of us slap-bang in the face. The rest of the year saw ‘Get Up Tight‘ and ‘Loosen Up’, promptly followed by a new take on their classic ‘100 Times Over’.
Despite 2018 being a good year for Cassia, it’s time to hit the ground running. They’ve got so much more talent bursting at the seems that needs to let out.
April will see the trio take on Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Berlin over in Germany. After that, all we can is presume a string of festival dates, under the sun, with the blissful sounds so a tightly strung guitar whilst enjoying a cold one. And on that note, cheers to Cassia!
