Bryde shares ‘Desire’ music video and UK tour dates

Soloist Of The Year nominee Bryde has announced a huge UK and European tour and shared her music video for ‘Desire’.

Produced with Chris Sorem and mixed by CJ Marks (Wolf Alice, PJ Harvey and St Vincent), ‘Desire’ is an exploration of the self-deceptions practised on ourselves when we give in to our weaker moments.

Today (December 11) the Welsh singer/songwriter shares the visual representation inspired “by the symbolism of certain scenes in the movie Under the Skin where the alien’s victims walk of their own free will into a thick dark oil and to their demise.”

“When writing the line “smother everything” I was actually imagining these temptations as a kind of veil that can leave us blind to what’s right and stuck in a cycle.” Said, Bryde.

“We’re drawn to sugar coated things that underneath are bad for us. It’s about desires as things or people we want and can’t often resist despite knowing they will bring us nothing but regret.”

Directed by Rhys Davies of Furball Films, the music video sees two people covered in what looks like golden syrup getting a bit intermate.

The deeply human concerns and unbridled rawness running through Bryde’s output has gained her an ever-growing fanbase in good time for the debut album slated for spring 2018.
