Artist Spotlight: White Room

White Room

I’m sure many of our readers and writers, myself included, miss the sun-drenched feel good indie vibes of 2012-2014 with bands like Peace, Superfood, Swim Deep, and more soaking in the indie scene like a huge denim jacket clad sponge. So you’ll be more than pleased to know Brighton quintet White Room are sitting at the top of the prospect of a revival for this vibe with an added psychedelic focus to top it off.

White Room are a self-proclaimed ‘Sky gaze psychedelia’ band who are knocking out show after show with some fantastic singles to follow suit and we at IndieCentralMusic believe they deserve far more recognition than they’re getting already.

Currently sitting on three singles and one EP this band still have so much more to give but just enough to sink your teeth into and get hooked by. Most recently releasing “Stole the I.V.” which hits our indie dreams with dreamy reverb and catchy vocals all wrapped in a psych indie package. It was released with B-side “Take Me Away” and followed the immensely powerful riffs of their EP “Fizzy Liquid”.

With inspiration drawn from the likes of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Doors, Tame Impala, and many more it’s clear that this band are something special, not only do they gain inspiration from these band but frequently have built upon them to make their sound one of the absolute best in the indie scene today.

They’ve performed at venues in Brighton, London, and various cities and towns around the country including legendary indie venues like The Old Blue Last (London), Hare and Hounds (Birmingham), and The Joiners (Southampton).

White Room is Jake – Vocals and tambourine frontman (Joel Gion inspired perhaps?), Josie – Bass and backing vocals, Jacob – Guitar, Tristan – Guitar and keyboard and Hen – Drums
