This weeks artist spotlight comes in the shape of alternate rock Leeds based 4-piece Furr.
The slightly rockier vibes initially drew me to this band and after listening to their second single entitled ‘Padlocks’ I was drawn to their sound. As most indie bands go, some of the music can be too light and therefore it’s missing that extra bit of wow factor. Whereas with Furr, the drive and energy throughout the song is undeniable.
It isn’t just ‘Padlocks’ that is filled with this rock energy though, their first single ‘Think Sharp Kid’ (which happens to be my favourite) got my attention as soon as it started. The close likeliness to bands like Imagine Dragons and Baby Strange are what really made my ears happy. With ‘Upset’ premiering single ‘Padlocks’, all I can hope is that Furr are going to release more material soon, because if you’re like me – once you listen to these guys, you’ll want more and more.
